June 28th, 2008
Black Apple iPhone 3G

The craze for the Apple iPhone is about to get even hotter. The iPhone 3G is expected to be released July 11. The new phone is being advertised as better, and less expensive. The phone will incorporate the same internet technology; it will use the same data provider, AT&T, and have the same functionality that the 2G had.

So, what makes the new IPhone 3G, well, so new? The answer: everything. Apple has upgraded the wireless broadband system, integrated Microsoft exchange Email functionality, and raised the storage and quality of the built in iPod.

At 4’x3’ and weighing 4.7 ounces, the IPhone 3G is slimmer and more compact for users. The 3G integrates the newest technology for clearer calls and better functionality for touch screen calling. Telephone numbers can be accessed from contacts, text messages or any other of the phone with simply a tap of the screen. The contacts sync with a user’s home pc ever time they connect. The phone offers call waiting and conference calling.

The 3G offers a built in stereo headset with advanced microphone that allows for crystal clear calling. Visual voicemail is also an advanced new feature. Users can see their voice mails in the order they are received and can choose the ones they want to listen to, in the order they want to listen to them.

The new IPhone will use the Safari web browser with Wi-Fi capability. The wireless connection allows a user to sync his or her bookmarks from their home pc directly to their I Phone. It also allows for faster speed while browsing. Another new feature is that Yahoo and Google search engines will automatically be integrated into the Safari browser. The phone will sync with Microsoft Exchange which will allow users to access multiple email accounts. The look and functionality will be exactly as it is in Outlook Express, and will sync with your accounts.

The built in IPod on the new 3G will boast an 8 GB or 16 GB flash drive for maximum storage of music and movies. With a 3.5’ display screen, users will be able to browse their favorite music simply by touch scrolling through their digital archive. The IPod will support ITunes so that music can be bought and downloaded directly from ITunes. The music will also sync from their home pc. The new IPhone will support the same file formats: AAC, WAV, MPG and Apple Lossless. There is also a widescreen format that allows users to watch movies in widescreen format. The Phone includes upgraded picture resolution in 480×320 pixels for premium viewing quality.

The 3G comes at a less steep price. The iPhone 3G will be introduced in 2 models, the 8g and the 16 GB. The 8 GB will only be available in black and will retail for $199. The 16 GB will be available in black and white and will go for $299. AT&T will still be the only carrier for the iPhone, and have specific data and voice rates starting at $30/month for data and $39.99/month for voice.
